best way to get broadway tix?

What's the best way to get Broadway tickets if you're not in NYC?

All shows use either ticketmaster or telecharge as their official seller. By going to the show's official website, there'll be a link. Playbill.com also has links to most. If tickets are available at regular price, one of those 2 will have them. They both have websites or you can phone them. Some shows may have discounts available. Look on broadwaybox.com on the left column for possible discounts which can then be used with ticketmaster or telecharge. When you buy a ticket this way, you can pick it up at the theater.

There are discount tix sold same day as performance for some shows. Info at tdf.org/tkts

If the show you want (ie Jersey Boys) is not available thru regular means, there are various brokers who will charge a premium over the face value and have again websites and phone sales. stubhub.com, sold out section of broadwaybox.com and www.applause-tickets.com are a few of these.

A few years ago, Amex did a great job of finding us great, last minute tickets to Wicked.

I forgot you were hoping for Wicked. www.Applause-tickets.com has been good for that.

UPDATE: Used Applause to get Wicked tickets. Paid more than face value, I think, but it's the major Christmas present, and the family loved it.
