Best way from airport to Mirage, Las Vegas?

Four adults a with minimum of 3 suitcases and carry ons are arriving in Las Vegas and will need transportation to the Mirage. Are taxis able to fit us?? If not, besides taking a shuttle that stops at all of the hotels what would you suggest and what are the costs we should expect?

Taxis in LV are minivans and should fit four adults and bags. And that's going to be very close in price to a shuttle, if not the same price.

Take a taxi. The strip and it's hotels are pretty close to the airport.

Thank you both. Can I consider around $20 to be a fair price for the taxi??

I think it will be a bit more to the Mirage. You'll undoubtedly be taken through the tunnel and onto the highway and around the back way. That adds distance to the trip, though not time. I think the last time I did this (a couple of years ago) the fare was more like $25.

I don't understand why a taxi would ever take you through the tunnel to get to any of the hotels on the strip from airport. They usually take Paradise Road from airport and then take a side road to the hotel. I have been to Las Vegas many times and have never had the experience of going through the tunnel. If you are unsure of the route they will take run it by them and ask which way they will take to go to the Mirage.
