Best views in San Francisco

I will be staying at the Crown Plaza union square. Where are some places to go to get nice views of the city?

Maybe from that restaurant on the top of the hotel?

Too many places... from Coit Tower, Cliff house area, from the bridge, Alcatraz, Treasure island, Angel Island, what's-that-thing-called right off the bridge?

Let me sum it up: anywhere on the water or anywhere high you get great views.

Top of the Mark in the Mark Hopkins Hotel, Harry Denton's Starlight Roof in the Sir Francis Drake, (across the street from the Crowne Plaza) the revolving restaurant atop the Hyatt Regency, Cityscape at the top of the Hilton.

The top of Coit Tower, Twin Peaks,...you get it, just find somewhere high. <grin>.

Drive across the Golden Gate Bridge and up to Marin Headlands ... incredible views.

Thanks for all the tips.
Gekko, I will not have a car on this trip.

Here is another. Take a ferry out into the Bay. Views of the city, looking back, and of both bridges.

The Hilton on Union Square has a bar/restaurant on the top floor that has phenomenal views of the city. Be sure and walk over, have a drink, and enjoy.
