3. Doing a zip line in Costa Rica

4. Riding elephants in northern Thailand and snorkeling with sharks for the first time off of Bamboo Island, Thailand

5. Having the beach to ourselves on North Bimini

Though not for reasons you might imagine, the first time I saw bare boobs in Bora Bora.

1. Taking a private jeep tour of Monument Valley in an open air jeep with Richard our Navajo guide. He showed us the playground he grew up in and sang to us in Navajo while we laid back and enjoyed the view.

2. Turing the corner at the end of the hike to Delicate Arch at sunset and having my 13 year old son say "sweet!"

All of us hopping on that four-seater bike in Santa Barbara and pedaling up and down the beach. It was a novel experience for us and, apparently, for everyone else doing it at the time. We know, because we were all smiles, and noticed that all the other pedalers we met were smiling back at us. It was amusing to see everybody so happy.
