Best Time To Visit Seattle...........
Do you think a visit to Seattle in June/July is a great time of the year. Thanks.

The weather in the NW is never a sure thing. We are having a good June this year - but often times it isnt so nice. It almost always rains on July 4th :) Best time would be August/September. But always be prepared for rain!

You just never know!! Our weather is impossible to predict. June & July are usually nice enough. But it changes every day.
September is probably consistently the best bet of a month. |
In July, August, and September, Seattle has less rain than New York City, and, on an annual basis, New York City has about ten inches more rain than Seattle: http://www.weather.com/outlook/event...ocid2=USNY0996

What an interesting chart, happytrails. The chart is supposedly to help with wedding planning, but provides misleading information. It gives the amount of rainfall in a month, rather than the number of days of rainfall. As you know, we rarely have downpours here, but often have overcast skies and sprinkles. One would not want to plan an outdoor wedding here based on the amt of rainfall in a particular month.
Towards the end of July through early October are the most likely times for clear weather, so I would say they are the best months to visit, but the skies in spring can be quite beautiful. (not pretty as often in winter when the clouds set in) The trails at the higher elevations on Mt. Rainier are often not open until late July due to snow. We went over July 4 wkend one year and there was still three feet of snow at Paradise Lodge, at just over 5000 feet. |
We have gone to Seattle at all times of year. I must say September after Labor Day through early October is my favorite time.
