Best time to visit Arlington

Wondering what time of day with be best?
Will be visiting on July 5 or 6, so we want to avoid the heat, but wondering if there's any advantage of doing in the morning vs evening.
Staying near the Convention Center, so the commute there should be short.

I guess you are referring to Arlington National Cemetery?

I would think first thing in the a.m.

Weather holding, definitely first thing in the morning. Opens at 8am.

Yep, I'd go in the AM to beat the heat. It will be the weekend, so there won't be any rush hour to worry about.

I was there a couple of weeks ago. I took the Metro and was there when it opened.

The first place I went to was the Marine Memorial. Quite a walk and very hot.

Once I got back to the main part I did a bit less walking. Then walked across the bridge to the Lincoln Memorial.

Early, early, early. Bring water and wear sunscreen. If you don't mind looking dorky, bring a small umbrella. I do
