Best time to post messages?

Has anyone figured out the "best" time to post new messages/questions to get the maximum number of responses??

There is no best time. Questions which are the most appropriately, clearly, and specificaly stated get the best responses by far.

Nope, not here. But the "best" thing to do is if you don't get responses after a few hours, top your post by replying to it.

And, the really, really "best" thing to do is post your message with the place you are going in the subject and an informative message header. That way the people who can help you will notice your message and know to open it.

I don't think time is the key factor, though I suppose for the US board posting sometime between 6AM eastern time and midnight pacific time is probably best, unless you're asking about Hawaii.

Whatever you do, don't post a new message on a Friday. It'll get buried under the weight of the "Friday Rants and Raves" post.

I've found the best time to post a question is when I have one.

I have noticed that this board in particular is quieter between midnight and 8 AM eastern time. It also seems quieter on Fridays (with the exception of FFR&R, of course). On the Asia board where I also spend a lot of time, people post 24-7.
