Best time for Florida (correct)
 

Hi,<BR>I am planning to visit Florida with my family (children 10 and 13) at the end of the March or beginning of the June. We are going to visit theme parks, beach and so on. Can you advice which time is better? Is it cold in March? Or too hot in June?<BR>Mooni

Have lived in Tampa Bay area for 18 years, and would DEFINITELY choose March over June. <BR><BR>Summer here starts in late April, and the dewpoint just keeps rising from there. <BR><BR>March can be absolutely gorgeous -- if sometimes a tad chilly or breezy -- but June can be very warm and oppressively humid. In March, the water temps will be in the low-to-mid 70s, which is too cold for me, but many prefer it. Also be aware that because the weather is so great, and baseball's spring training will be in progress, the theme parks will be busy.<BR><BR>Still, my take will always be March.<BR><BR>

I'd say March. In May, when I went to FL, it was 95 degree, way too hot and humid.<BR>

Depends on your activities. March in Florida is better for theme parks but too cold for swimming. The water has not warmed up and the breeeze can be cool. Others are right by June itis HOT but you can always cool off with a dip or a vidsit to a Disney water park. Personally I think optimal time is early to mid May (warm enough to swim but not oppressive). Unfortunately that is not one of your choices!

I live in Orlando. The weather in March is more desireable for outdoor activities (except going to the beach).

March. Besides the weather differences, once the kids are out of school in June, the theme parks are mobbed. Although the beach waters are too cool for us Floridians in March, the northerners don't seem to mind it.

We have been going to Florida from the Seattle area for the last 18 years. The last 3 have been in February and it's been great and the water to us was warm. We usually fly into Tampa and out of Ft Lauderdale so both coast were great. Other times have been Thanksgiving, Chrismas,March,April. Christmas was the coolest but were told that was unusual. There was one time in February or early March about 10 years ago that the only place that was warm was in the Keys.<BR>To answer your question March should be very nice.

I've lived in Forida for 21 years (both Central and South). In addition to being cooler, March is a much drier month than June. This past June I think it rained every single day. It was so depressing. You'd think with so many days of rain the temps would drop, but not the case in Florida! Assuming you're coming from a cold climate, I think you'll enjoy March much more than June. Just be sure to avoid the theme parks the weeks just before and after Easter, since that's their most crowded time. Average high/low in March for Central Florida (Orlando, Tampa &amp; Clearwater) is 77/55. Miami and Ft Lauderdale are slightly warmer at 80/59.
