Best Suites hotel for DC w/Kids

I will be bringing my 2 children, ages 10 and 14 to DC for the 1st time the 2nd week of April. We will be flying in and I'd like to stay in a Suites-type hotel that is in a central location to most tourist attractions so we can walk. Any suggestions?

In order of (my) preference, with best first:

http://capitolhillhotel-dc.com/ (1/2 block to Metro, steps to Capitol/LOC/Sup. Ct., walkable to Natl Mall) Yet on a very quiet residential block.

http://embassysuites3.hilton.com/en/...CES/index.html (great area and close to Mall, Metro)

http://embassysuites3.hilton.com/en/...NES/index.html
(nice neighborhood, easy, short, Metro ride to all the tourist sites)

All three of these suites hotels have lots of neighborhood dining and cafes, etc.)

DC is filled with the standard line up of suites hotels in centrally located neighborhoods. Do you have a chain you prefer?

I think the Embassy Suites on 22nd St is a good location. I don't think the one near the Convention Center is a nice location myself, I don't really like that area and don't think the surroundings are very nice or really like a walkable neighborhood, like around Dupont Circle. However, I would not bet that you are going to want to walk to most tourist attractions from there (or from any location, actually, that is impossible unless you stay right around the Mall, maybe that big Marriott downtown or one of the hotels like the Hyatt Regency on NJ Avenue, or one of the ones near Verizon Center). YOu aren't going to want to walk to everything from any of the others places mentioned, not Dupont Center and not near Capital South metro stop nor from north of Chinatown near Franklin Square (location of the Convention Center Embassy Suites. I don't really know of any Suites hotel that is right around the Mall or Penn Center or one in any location where you will want to walk to most tourist attractions.
