best snorkeling on oahu
 

well i finally leave this friday for oahu for 6 days and cant wait! It will be my bfs first time and he and I lOVE fish, so we want to find a couple of great spots for snorkeling. We already plan on doing hanauma and sharks cove but wanna know if there are any others you can recommend? We will have a car, so any location will work for us. Thanks!

there is some good snorkeling at Waimea Bay this time of year. Parking is limited so you might want to get there early--before 10.

Our favorite places to snorkel on Oahu are Three Tables on the North Shore and Makaha Beach on the West side. We lived on Oahu for 3-4 months, bought a book specifically about snorkeling on Oahu and checked out just about every spot. These two locations are easy and you are guaranteed to see lots of fish and sea turtles.
