Best snorkeling in Maui in February

AM going to Napili area in mid-February. Would like info on any areas of the island that might offer good snorkeling in February. Also, good and safe areas for best boogy-boarding in February. Thanks for your help.

You want to head south; snorkeling places in the north in the summer can turn into surfing areas in the winter.
Ask your local snorkel rental shop for the best bets once you get there.

We snorkled Molokini. It was great..very close to the Waleai area. Try to go as early as possible, and if you're a strong swimmer/snorkler, you can go around the crescent shape isle to the backside...BIG FISHES

Honolua Bay, just north of Kapalua. It is protected from the North Swells, and unless there is a storm to the west is very good.

Go early as there is limited parking and the local police come around mid morning and ticket the cars parked illegally.

There is a beach park on bay south, the name escapes me, were you can rent kayaks and paddle around the end of the point to Honolua bay.

Don't discount the Napili-Kapalua area. There is wonderful snorkling in those waters!

I thought Honolua Bay was VERY surfy in the winter? At any rate, local conditions will be best known by the local dive shops (who told us about the sharks where we were headed, saving us a trip to a closed beach!).
