Best snorkeling in Florida?

Hi, guys - does anyone have experience with snorkeling in Florida? Where would you say the best area to go is? Would it be someplace in the Keys? Any cute beach towns that would offer both good restaurants and snorkeling? Thanks for any guidance you can give me!

I haven't been here yet, but planning to go in Feb. Friends have gone and said it was great. http://www.pennekamppark.com/snorkeling.html
I also looked into Key Biscayne http://www.biscayneunderwater.com/pa...asp?package=57

We usually stay in Ft Myers Beach and there's really not much snorkeling there because of sand (and lack of coral reefs). This will be our first time in Ft Lauderdale so we'll try snorkeling there. Can't help with cute beach towns....

Check out John Pennekamp state park in Key Largo.

Other than the keys don't know of any other snorkeling spots.
