I highly recommend Ettas Seafood restaurant. Excellent seafood, eclectic small restaurant and great location at the north end of Pike Street Market.
|
If you are looking for good seafood,I would advise avoiding Anthony's, The Brooklyn, Elliots, Steamers, Ivars, Ray's Boathouse, Dukes, and McCormick's. These are just okay restaurants. Not a lot of imagination in their dishes. I have heard wonderful things about Etta's, although I have not yet been there. Cutter's still has wonderfully prepared seafood a does Shucker's (in the Four Seasons Hotel). The Painted Table has wonderful food as well.

Etta's is good. Ray's is excellent (with one of the best wine lists around). McCormick and Schmick, though I have not been there in a few years, was very good, though a bit men's clubbish. Cutters is touristy and not the best. Flying Fish is very good for seafood. I'v never been impressed with Anthony's in any of its iterations - sort of ordinary. Dahlia Lounge, though not primarily seafood, is excellent. Dick

Does it have to be on your list? I had a really wonderful meal at Flying Fish (great Thai crab cakes). Not to mention the lemon cheesecake for dessert.
|
not on your lists, but I've never had a bad meal at these restaurants, and I usually order their seafood specials:
Carmine's (King and lst),
and 2 in West Seattle - La Rustica on Beach, and Beach House Cafe on Alki. Would pick any of those over those on the list any day, and for any occasion.
|
If I want seafood in downtown or vicinity I go to Shiro's, Wild Ginger, or Sea Garden. Etta's has very good food. Emmet Watson's Oyster Bar has great atmosphere, but it is a different kind of place from the others on the list.
|
If you don't mind going over to Alki, Saly's has good seafood. Sunday morning they have a great brunch buffet. Enjoy!

OOPS...I mean Salty's
|
Salty's? Overpriced with bad service and mediocre food. We had one of the worst meals in the Pacific NW in Salty's. About the only place that's worse is the Three Crabs in Sequim. Dried out salmon, surly service.

The Dalia Lounge. You can't find a better place.
