Best Restaurant in Carmel

My wife and I are making our first trip to Northern California for our upcoming anniversary. We're looking for a good restaurant in Carmel or that general area for our anniversary day. Frankly we're sushi fiends - but any suggestions you care to make would be most welcome!

In Carmel, I have enjoyed dinner at the Grill on Ocean Avenue several times, it is fairly small and cozy, with great food - I usually order the fish. They have a fireplace that makes for a romantic ambience.

Rafaelo's is a wonderful elegant Italian restaurant - probably the best Italian food I have ever had. Small, intimate dining area, excellent attentive service. Very romantic, and location is right in town.

Two places in the area we try to hit at least once a year for special occassions. The first, very special, is the Fresh Cream, located in Monterey near Fisherman's Wharf. They have a website www.freshcream.com. Very classy, refined, excellent wine selection, gourmet dinning at it's best. Reservations needed. I would recommend this for anniversary, etc., most highly.
The other is more casual, maybe not as special, but a lot of fun. Rio Grill off Highway one in Carmel. Great Tex-mex and southwest cuisine.
Of course you can always try Clint's place, the Mission Ranch in Carmel. Great piano bar, and you might even see the great one himself.
