Best Pools in Hawaii
What hotels do you consider to have some of the most impressive pools on any of the Hawaiian islands? P.S. Water slides, canals and multiple pools are what would be appealing to our kids.

Yvette, The Hyatt at Poipu on Kauai !
Tops!!
Kal

Yvette, the Maui Hyatt Regency on Kaanapali Beach would also appeal to your kids (great waterslide/tunnel, "waterfalls" to swim under, Swim-thru grotto connecting two large pools, etc). I've been to both Hyatt resorts (on Maui and Kaui)and you can't go wrong with either choice. My preference would be Maui, as there's more to see and do for the whole family.

Had a great response for you yesterday but the forum board was acting up. My children who , at the time of the vacation, were 11 and 13, will tell you that the Hilton Waikoloa Village wins first prize and the Hyatt on Kauai wins second prize. Both these properties bet out the Princeville, Ritz and Kea Lani. The Hilton property is great for families. We got a bounce back rate that included a great buffet breasfast...the rooms are a fair size, more square in shape, a king size bed, double couch pullout and a rollaway free of charge. Quite reasonable as well. It has 3 pools, a quiet adult one, one with a current and a couple of slides and the main one, with a cave, hottub as well, arcade nearby and a beachy area. My son was able to participate in their Dolphinquest program. Their is also a manmade lagoon/pool where you can rent paddleboats, rafts, etc. My husband and son snorkelled here daily...perfect as you didn't have to worry about currents or waves...even had big sea turtles in it. The Hyatt in Kauai has a fabulous pool area also...lots of winding streams, etc. and they enjoyed the program for older kids where you pay 5.00 a day and get unlimited pop, popcorn, a room to play ping pong, nintendo, a couple good arcade games and a VCR...a young supervisor was on duty. Does this help?

Ditto for the Hyatt Regency Kauai on Poipu beach. They have a gorgeous pool with all the trimmings you are looking for. The whole hotel is beautiful on the sunny side of this majestic island. You'll love it. It's worth the price.
Thank you all for taking the time to share your insights. I have stayed at the Waikoloa and the Hyatt on Kauai and loved both facilities and now I have another option to consider which is the Hyatt on Maui! Thanks again!

The Hyatt Waikoloa has always been a favorite. It has wonderful pools with waterfalls and is a great place for kids. They have boats and trams for getting you around the large property. There are 3 towers: lagoon, palace, and ocean. The lagoon is closest to the main pool and dolphins but less "grand". For couples, I would recommend the palace or ocean towers.
