Yes, that's my point, Dukey. They should VISIT the places first which vary, rather than just pick one to move to as if they were all alike. To ask others "where should we live" rather than "where should we check out to see if we want to live there" was what I was suggesting seemed vague and strange.

Well, my original point was that the post sounded vague and strange. I keep checking back because I would love to give advice about the west coast of Florida, what little I know, but to someone who is planing to visit a few areas, do more research online, etc., with an eye toward moving eventually. A lot of people want to move here, but, unlike some of you, they don't want to put in the effort it takes to do it.

Ackislander—the Big Bend question was a bit of a dig. If you had just gone to Cedar Key from the Big Bend, and Cedar Key is as far west as one can go in Florida, then somehow the Big Bend must have been magically transported from west of Cedar Key (where it usually resides) to east of it.
