Best Places to eat in Chicago!
Best Pizza?
Best Italian? Best Steakhouse? Best Japanese? What's you favorite Restaurant? |
Kens at 107th and Western. It's on The South Side but it's worth the trip. Palarmos pizza in Oak Lawn.

Our favorite on our last trip a few years ago was Le Colonial on Rush Street. We stopped in because it was close to our hotel and it became our "regular" place. The cuisine is French/Vietnamese. The decor is exotic with dark shutters, bamboo, palms, in an elegant minimalist setting. The upstairs living room/bar is great for before dinner drinks.

Best Japanese is:
Japonaise 600 W. Chicago Ave. (N. Larrabee St.) Chicago, IL 60610 312-822-9600 Italian: Follia 953 W. Fulton Mkt. (Sangamon St.) Chicago, IL 60607 312-243-2888 This is French-American, but one of my favorites: Fuse Hotel 71 71 E. Wacker Dr. (N. State St.) Chicago, IL 60601 312-462-7071 As for pizza and steak, they're a dime a dozen--too many to choose from. Lou Malnati's is great for deep dish and Ruth Chris Steakhouse is very good. |
Gibson's on State and Bellvue is a lot of fun. Yeah, its a total scene, but that's half the fun. Food is simple but great!

I love, love, love Cafe Ibercio. Best tapas I have had (and I live in a city full of Tapas restaurants)!!
|
Chicaga! Tell more about that piano bar, please. Ambience? Piano player? We used to love going to see/hear Buddy Charles at Coq d'Or. How does Catch 35 compare to that?
|
Heaven on Seven for Cajun, Topolo Bampo (have I spelled it right?) for Spanish, and Dragon Court in Chinatown, and just-for-fun Asian, with good ambiance, any of the Big Bowl restaurants.
I think Chicago is a GREAT food town. |
