I wonder if LeavingOhio will come back to this and give us more details. We're not really sure what she's looking for, but maybe she's not either. I answered more off the cuff in her response to her looking for "some excitement," but thinking she'd be back soon to fine tune the direction we were going in.
Great advice here from lots of folks, especially the direction dfrostnh took. I hope Ohio reads it. |
I did exactly what LeavingOhio is thinking about. Got divorced, moved from Kansas City to Oregon - and am so glad I did. My daughter moved with me so that helped and I had good friends in Eugene, where I moved. My life is so much richer because of the move. I used to be a big time shopper, now I am a hiker and doing things I had never dreamed of. Every weekend is like a vacation if I want it to be, so much to see and do I could do something different every weekend.
I was back in KC last weekend, fun to visit but only reinforced that my decision to move was a good one. |
You are an inspiration, sunbum1944! And brave, too. Go, girl! ;-)

Suze---are you saying there are no eligible men in the Seattle area?

Just be careful financially. I'm moved, changed careers, gone to school, etc. etc. since- but have seen women in the stage you are in now also make incredible financial deficits that they regretted forever after. Read Suzie Orman.
