Rockledge is close to Viera. It is ok but Brevard county politics are horrible. I live the on the Volusia/Brevard line. Everything use to revolve around the space center here.

I'm with ozarksbill . It depends on what your interest are. Will anyone in the house be working? Does a commute matter or is there an office in the home? I have friends in Jacksonville and they are not happy with schools there. My college roomie is from Melbourne and that's nice. Can't help you with the best place to fish while still a lot of activity for younger crowds.

Neo: >>Well it was always north of Melbourne, but with those horrendous and frequent East Coast storms in Florida, perhaps it blew south?

Hey, Vincenzo, give me a break. At least I didn't say IMO an eathquake most likely moved it, which NewbE would have staunchly supported me on. As we now know, opinions -- no matter how wrong -- are not to be questioned!

Politics: oh yes, flpab, DD and professor hubby are very disturbed by local/state politics. She is president of Sierra Club dealing with environmental issues and was heading Audubon Society. BTW, her volunteer positions are in place of no job (was in museum education elsewhere but much unemployment in Brevard Co).
