Best place in Chicago for afternoon tea?

We have been to The Pennisula for afternoon tea, but would love to try another place in the city or suburbs. Thanks for any suggestions.

I'd be surprised if anyone from Chicago is reading Fodor's right now. :)

You might want to top this tomorrow.

I have fond memories of tea at the Four Seasons in Chicago. I think the Drake does tea as well (but that's going back a few years).

The Drake. Afternoon tea in the Palm Room in a beautiful setting with live Harp music.

The Drake, and be sure to check out the ladies' room. My 10-year-old niece was so impressed that she wrote it up in her school report.

The Four Seasons is my favorite.

I've never had tea at the Four Seasons but I have been to the afternoon tea at the Drake several times and it is very nice.

The Drake is wonderful. Argo Tea is a great place to buy tea in the city.

The Celtic Knot in Evanston serves tea. The owners are Irish and I think their food is pretty good. I haven't had the chance to try their tea service yet but their dinner entrees are good.

topping this because I'm heading to Chicago next month. Of these 3, which is best:
The Drake, Four Seasons, or Ritz Carlton??

Can't comment on those three, but we definitely have enjoyed tea at Russian Tea Time. Just off Michigan Avenue near the Art Institute.

Thank you, cageym, for information. I gooled it and it looks really nice. I would still love feedback on the other 3 from someone, too. I like having choices.
