Best place for honeymoon in October

Where would you suggest for a one week honeymoon in October? We love photography, nature, but want a really nice resort/spa or maybe even a cruise. Thought about Santa Fe area-- but can't seem to find a romantic package/hotel/spa online.... We've already done a lot of Carribean cruises.. where else is cheap but nice in October?

October is off season for the Caribbean and Mexico and you can find some fantastic deals.

Avoid Columbus Weekend because travel does peak around that weekend.

What about a cruise in the Meditteranean?

October is off-season in the Caribbean because it is hurricane season.

Few Santa Fe places offer packages, but it is a very easy place to do it yourself. Have you tries SW Airlines' vacation site?

For something different, but lots of nature and photo ops, try Utah in October. Especially if it's the first week! Check out Robert Redford's Sundance in Provo Canyon and Stein Erickson's Lodge at Deer Valley. Both have outstanding service, restaurants, and spas. Both are very romantic and Oct prices are a real deal!

Congrats!

Two words. Nova Scotia!

Why not the lovely fall foliage of New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine? We were there 2 years ago for our anniversary during the first week of October. Breathtaking!

Hi,

I would suggest Arizona or Maui. Arizona is great because October is pool weather, and the resorts really know how to treat you right. Check out Pointe South Mountain resort www.pointesouthmtn.com, JW Marriot in Scottsdale...of if you have the cash to spend, The Royal Palms or the Phoenician. You can do hiking, horsebackriding, golf etc...and also do a day trip to Sedona or the Grand Canyon...

My husband and I honeymooned in Maui - it was fabulous. Lots of cool things to do and see. It may be a long trip for you though, if you are coming from the east coast.

I'm with zztopz and janier: New England and Nova Scotia. There are romantic inns galore, nice weather, and stunning fall color. Check out the White Barn Inn in Maine, Trout Point Lodge in Nova Scotia, and Castle Hill resort in Vermont. The Cat ferry links Maine and Nova Scotia.
