Pizza is good everywhere. It's one of nature's most perfect foods.

Hi,I live in Boston. I can't say we have better pizza because I haven't tasted other states but I will say that even here, I hate that thick lip of a crust that some have

I am beginning to wonder if the quality of "bar food" and pizza in any one place might be inversely related to the quality of the weather.

KathyK May 7th, 2007 04:37 AM

In addition to having great "bar" food Buffalo also has many great restaurants. We have 4 beautiful seasons(okay, winter is a little long) and the SABRES! Let's go Buffalo!

And I love "that thick lip of a crust" - I couldn't give a pizza a high rating without it.

Starrsville has it exactly right - love the one you're with!

Iíve never had it. Is it New York or Chicago style?

;)

kamahinaohoku May 7th, 2007 07:19 AM

Fuggedahboutit...Actually, the best pizza comes from Italy.

starrsville May 7th, 2007 07:22 AM

You mean it's not Domino's? :-O

GoTravel May 7th, 2007 07:37 AM

I will say Santarpios is up there however my favorite is Angelos Coal Oven Pizza on West 57th in Manhattan.

If it has it -- it is low on my list. Who gets to decide "The Best" ??? too subjective

"Fuggedahboutit...Actually, the best pizza comes from Italy."

See, there we go again with personal tastes. I've had pizza a lot in Italy, including a couple of the supposedly "greatest" in Naples. But I've had several pizzas in the south of France (Nice and Cannes) that I liked consideraby better than any I've had in Italy.

Pizza is like sex....when it's good, it's great...and when it's bad, it's still pretty good.

TxTravelPro May 7th, 2007 12:30 PM

I know that's right...

starrsville May 7th, 2007 12:31 PM

:-D

formernewyorker May 7th, 2007 12:56 PM

You are kidding right???
NO!!
Buffalo NY has the best pizza!!! LaNova,Bocce Club,etc...

LLindaC May 9th, 2007 04:15 PM

milemarker must be a man.....

LLindaC May 9th, 2007 04:15 PM

because when it's bad, it's more like eating raw veggies without a dip

happytrailstoyou May 9th, 2007 06:52 PM

"Best" is in the taste buds of the eater.

Those who grew up with In and Out burgers think they're the best. I don't.

In Seattle, those who grew up with Dick's burgers think they're the best. I don't.

And so on.

Regardless of personal preference, all the Boston spots mentioned in the first posting are FABULOUS.
