Best Pizza in Chicago?
Looking for suggestions for best pizza in Chicago in North Loop and Michigan Avenue area.
|
Best deep dish is Geno's East and best thin crust is Renalli's in Lincoln Park (2 mi. north of loop by Depaul Univ.)
|
My favorites:
1) Pizzeria Uno - 29 E Ohio (2 blocks west of Michigan Ave.)
2) Pizzeria Due (same owners as Uno) - 619 N Wabash (around the corner from Uno)
3) Lou Malnati's - 439 N Wells (7 blocks west of Michigan Ave & 2 blocks South of Grand)

It's best to visit the first two mid afternoon when it is not extremely packed with one hour waiting.
For Chicago Style Pizza...Gino's East was my favorite until I tried Lou Malnati's! You really can't go wrong with either one!

When we travel to Chicago Mrs Kal and I engage in "deep dish warfare"!

I love the above mentioned Gino's East (miss the old "rustic" location off Mich Ave.) and Lou Malnati's and she's a Giordano's fan.

So, we usually have to have 2 pizza dinners while we're there...and a nice long jog or 2 along Lakeshore Dr!

Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinders, Lou Malnati's, Uno (NOT the same as the national chain).
I think Geno's has fallen off a bit (probably because I miss their old location....that was part of the 'experience').
