It is repetitive exposure that usually causes the problem with film that is slower than 1000 ASA. If you fly into and out of multiple locations and the film gets X-rayed every time you go through another airport, it builds up and you can indeed ruin the film.

I'm finding that more and more as I age (not sure why), the internal memories are more vivid and meaningful than any pictures could ever be. I love pictures to bring back the faces of people I've met or spent time with but the scenery replays best internally. That said... I was recently at the Mayan ruins in Tikal National Park Guatemala and emrged from under a tree after a late afternoon sunshower to find a double rainbow in the sky behind temple I on the Gran Plaza. I did manage to snap a pic yet it completely fails to deliver the impact of the event. Some things just don't translate to film.

In Germany, at Neuschenstien (spelled very wrong) castle. My camera died. Had to buy a new one in Garmish. Hated the old Kodak love the new Olympia.

Two come to mind-a harried mother pushing her triplets in their carriage across the street. They were boys-around 2 years old and all 3 had sunglasses on--priceless! On a trip to Ireland a group of parochial school girls in their uniforms laughing and having a wonderful time. The ones I DID take in Paris--I'd borrowed my son's rather complicated(for me)camera and stopped at a camera store to have someone load it for me. The film was not loaded properly, and none came out. Ah, the French!
