Best outside dining in Las Vegas
 

Yes, I know it will be hot in July, even at night (we've been there before in July), but we still enjoy eating outside for dinner with a nice view of gardens, water, etc.

Any suggestions? Mid to high end range.

Mon Ami Gabi at Paris. You're right across the street from the Bellagio fountains

mon ami gabi, but as toncasmo sez some of the tables are RIGHT on the strip.

Bouchon has some outside tables, inside the Venetian courtyard.

Bartolotta at the Wynn has some nifty looking semi-private cabanas overlooking a small pool, looked very romantic and the restaurant has a good rep.

I also recommend Bartolotta. In addition to its atmosphere, it has the best food of the bunch -- at the highest price.

Agree with the Mon Ami Gabi suggestion. Sit under one of the "misters" for lunch.

Once every 18 months or so my wife and I make it to Vegas. Lunch outside at Mon Ami Gabi is always on the agenda.

There is also a very small outdoor patio area in the Bellagio that is part of the Prime restaurant. You used to be able to just have a drink there, but they've started to tighten that a bit and would only let guests at Prime use it. (Unless you were staying at the hotel and could convince them you were only there for one drink.) Great view of the fountain.

I'm glad to see so many of you like Mon Ami Gabi----we will go there our first night as we arrive late and, as you said, it's right across the street. We've been there and love the food (also in Chicago). The problem is that yes we can reserve a table, but they don't take reservations for outside, only inside. So I guess we'll have to take our chances and reserve inside and hope to maybe get outside.

Bartolotta's sounds great (and we love their restaurants in Milwaukee), but I'll probably save that for a trip with my husband. This trip is with my daughter for business.

Olives looks good and I'll check out Bouchon. Last trip we did eat at The Venetian in the courtyard at an Italian place.

Do you know of any that you can actually make a reservation outside?

Also, anyone dine at Okada at The Wynn? With the waterfall, it sort of looks like it's outsie---mixed reviews on trip advisor though.

While technically not outside, don't discount the Vegas fun of eating al fresco at either the Forum Shops or the Piazza San Marco in the Venetian.

I've just been reading the reviews here on Fodors and I think I've gained 5 lbs. already.

I agree about the Piazza at the Venetian and I'll look into the Forum Shops---at Ceasars? is that where Spago is located?

We are staying at Bellagio and have eaten at Prime in the past--fantastic! We also enjoyed Sensi in Bellagio. Just looking for someplace new and I do rely on the Fodorite's opinions.

In my opinion Okada is the best sushi restaurant in Vegas, and I do think they open up the huge windows when the weather is right.

Another place to consider is Lavo in Palazzo. They do have outdoor dining overlooking the TI sirens/pirate show across the street, and thy take reservations. If you go there you must get the deep fried oreos.

I like Mon Ami Gabi but I agree with toncasmo that Olives at the Bellagio is even nicer. The patio seats at Olives make you feel like you are practically sitting in the middle of the fountains, while MAG is across the strip with all the traffic in between.

I also like Bouchon at the Venetian which has outdoor dining at the pool, as mentioned. I think Tableau at the Wynn also has patio dining (great bfast), and maybe SW steakhouse too (I haven't been there just seen it from outside). A lot of the Wynn restaurants face the lovely waterfall, I'm not sure which other ones offer patio seating.

Im heading over this July and seeing O at the Bellagio for my Mum's 50th and have organised a surprise dinner at Olives - hopefully the food is as great as everyone says! :)
