Another vote for LAGUNA BEACH!
Just visited CA last month and we visited Laguna Beach for just 1 day and LOVED it! What a great beach town!
Would have loved to have stayed at the Montage (wow, pricey!), but we stayed nearby at the Marriott Laguna Hills at Dana Point which was perfectly fine.
