What would you like to do while in New England?

Boston will be, well, lit up like a Christmas tree, but you might also be interested in going to Bethlehem, New Hampshire. It's a very pretty town with nice inns and B&Bs, but you won't want to be anywhere but home for Christmas, all of the restaurants, except the hotel restaurants will be closed.

Do you ski? You might want to head up to Vermont.

A few ideas:

Jackson NH - Many B &B's Inns and Hotels do special inclusive deals/packages over Christmas season. The locations is nice - You enter Jackson through a covered bridge, you can try sleigh rides, Snowshoeing and Ice skating at nestlenook farm.
The excellent Jackson Ski touring(XC ski) centre is in the centre of Jackson.
You can take the Snowcoach up Mount Washington near Pinkham Notch (About 10 miles away)
You can go snowmobiling (www.alpinesnowmobiling.com)
From Jackson you can drive to Bethlehem NH and post your christmas cards there (Nice festive postmark)

For the Christmas spirit/experience try:
The Christmas farm Inn Jackson NH (www.christmasfarminn.com)

The Wentworth Hotel Jackson NH (www.thewentworth.com)

The Notchland Inn Harts Location NH (www.notchlandinn.com)

For further details

or

Another idea would be Stowe VT (Very popular)

Do like to ski. Would love the snowmobiling but am suprised how expensive it is in NE considering $175 will get two people a FULL day in Yellowstone.
