Best month to visit NYC? Please help!!!
 

Hi- <BR> <BR>I just had to cancel my NYC trip from this thur to mon today-I fractured my foot and did'nt think new york would be a good time on crutches. I can travel any time from mid dec (hopefully) until March 31. Delta has let us reschedule through that date. And to my surprise Priceline refunded 80 percent of our $$-that was great...just wanted your opinion, i am really ******* that we can't go. <BR>Thanks in advance!

Personally, my favorite time in New York City is around the Christmas holidays. I really love the atmosphere that time of year. If it doesn't interfere with your holiday plans, I think mid-December is a nice time to visit.

Hope your foot is better!!!! <BR>How did you get them to refund your money? Did you call them or just e-mail them, I thought they had very strict rules..... thinking of not going on my trip, and I would love to get 80% back. Thanks.

I agree with New Yorker that NY is absolutely magical at Christmastime. I would vote for mid-December if you are feeling better and if you can get reasonable accommodations (ordinarily the most expensive time for hotels in NYC, but this year may be different). <BR> <BR>If you don't want to come mid-December, I would urge you to come as late in spring as possible. Jan and Feb are pretty dreary and cold here. Late March is iffy, but you have the chance of some really pretty spring days. <BR> <BR>Get well soon!

Christmas time would be best IMO.

Definitely Christmas time in the time frame you're looking at. And come on the board for advice about how to avoid at least some of the crowds--or about what crowds are worth getting mixed up in!!!
