Best Maui Sunset Picture?

Will be going to Maui for my first time in June. I am really into photography and love to take sunset pictures. Have got some wonderful sunset pictures from around the country. Would like to get some opinions as to the best location for sunset pictures on Maui. Preferably some with palm trees in the foreground, boats, etc. Any opinions?

You will have more sunset pictures than you know what to do with, just be anywhere along the west coast at the right time and point. Twilight is very short in Hawaii, only about 15 minutes, so be ready.

A nice sunset venture is to go to Kapalua Bay Hotel, where you can have drinks/snacks in their lounge and have a head-on sunset view, which includes their coves, the ocean, and the islands of Lanai and Molokai in the distance. I have a photo of part of that view which I can e-mail to you.
Two outstanding restaurants nearby also--Sansei in the shops outside the front door of Kapalua Bay, and Roy's Kahana Grill, 5 min. away.

No, no, Deblynn, put Kal in the foreground instead of those palm trees!

A professional photographer friend gave me some wonderful advice one time. He said since you are not a professional photographer and will never be, and any picture you think is unique will have already been taken million times, always put loved ones in the foreground of your "landscape" shots.

All of my most favorite shots have followed this advice: Mr.GoTravel and Me on a sailboat in Charleston harbor with the gorgeous sunset behind us, us in front of the Grand Canyon with the sun rising, with six of my friends in Islamorada Florida at the Lorelei with the keys sunset behind us, yadda, yadda.

Put loved ones in your sunset pictures and you will lood at them much more often.

My husband and I loved eating at
Cheeseburgers in Paradise in Lahaina.
If you get there early evening you can
enjoy live music and wonderful sunsets.
Also for picture taking anywhere on
Kanapali Beach when the sun goes down
is a wonderful picture.

Fainagain;
You recommended putting Kal in the foreground instead of palm trees. What is Kal?
