Best local Jazz Brunch

Commander's Palace is booked on the Sunday I am in New Orleans (May 27). What's the next best restaurant for a terrific jazz band and even better food? Thanks. Sue

You may get more help if you re-post with New Orleans in the title.

I like Palace Cafe and Brennan's.

We always try to go the the House of Blues Gospel Brunch. The gospel choir is so much fun. The food is pretty good and above average for a buffet, but not outstanding. Haven't been in a few years though.

Thanks abram. I'll do that after typing this. mah1980, don't know Palace Cafe so will investigate and thanks travelgirl2 for House of Blues tip. I love gospe.

Palace Cafe is a Brennan's restaurant. Look at palacecafe.com.

I would NOT go to Brennan's, as it's a bit of a tourist trap - especially for brunch. The Palace Cafe is owned by the Brennan family, but not the same branch that owns Brennans. The Palace Cafe is great!

I have been to the Palace Cafe several times over the years and agree that the food was very good. Never been for Sunday brunch.
