Best Jeep Tour in Sedona
My family will be visiting Sedona the second week in October, and we were interested in taking one of the jeep tours. Are they all about the same, (company wise), or can anyone recommend one jeep tour over another? What about the tour sites themselves?
Thanks for your help! |
do a search for Sedona jeep tours in the search area @ the top of this page, and you'll get lots of opinions....I enjoyed the Pink Jeep "Ancient Ruins" tour...but others have done the "Broken Arrow" tour...ck out their website(pinkjeep,com)...and there is another I know of.."A Day in the Life(.com)" ...think they also have a chuckwagon dinner tour and horseback riding(at least they did a while back).....
|
made an error:www.a day in the west.com-----another is redrockjeep.com--sedonajeeptours.com and---sedona.net------hope this helps......loved the Cowboy Bar...
|
another suggestion is the Laughing Coyote at 2575 West Highway 89A....not upscale...loved the outdoor fireplace and the stars in the sky out there.. ...

We just returned from there about 2 weeks ago and I highly recommend Arizona Jeep Tours. Their website sold me over the other jeep tour companies. Their personal service (pick up at your hotel), terrific guide and the extra suspension (more comfy) jeeps will get me to use them again...I plan to return on a girl's trip in November.
They also offer a 10% discount when you book online. |
I enjoyed a Pink Jeep tour last May. The driver's personality and narration probably is a big part of trip. I took a 2 hr ride up to the Canyon Rim but most of it was accessible by car. Our driver gave us a lot of information about plants and animals. The views were incredible and the ride wasn't that bumpy.

Take the Broken Arrow Tour with Pink Jeep Tours. I took that tour when I was in sedona, and it is the most fun l ever had! I was on the tour with a nice couple from Alabama. It was in January, and it was cold and snowy. I'm from Chicago, so I'm used to that kind of weather. They were very cold, but enjoyed seeing the snow. The jeep goes up and over the rocks, so you bounce around alot in the jeep. The scenery is spectacular. The tour lasts about 2 hours and they provide hotel pick-up if you're staying at a Sedona hotel. http://explorearizonatours.com/sedona.php

Best = Pink Jeep tours
Their Broken Arrow tour is the most popular - and famous We took their Scenic Rim tour (at sunset) a couple of years ago when traveling with a broken foot. Different, but very nice |
Pink Jeep tours in Sedona was rated # 1 tourist activity out of 750 or so choices a couple of years back, based on a survey done by Tripadvisor for the Phoenix newspaper.
I would guess the other jeep tours are pretty similar, but that's how the ratings broke down. |
We took the Pink Jeep Broken Arrow tour and it was just great.
It was really the best part of our trip to Sedona. |
I have no idea which is best, but we took the Pink Jeep Broken Arrow tour last month and enjoyed it, but it was pretty tame and was too much tour and not enough action for me.
As we walked to the Pink Jeep office, we passed another jeep place that was offering tours that same day for the bargain basement price of $19.95! Too good to be true? Probably... |
Pink Jeep broken arrow tour seems to be the most popular or maybe its because you see the pink jeeps all over..took it awhile ago and it was fun..have seen coupons for discounts in those Sedona booklets..check online too.
we were just in Sedona late Feb and a lot of the jeeps were empty. |
You realize this trip was in October of 2004.
I wonder if there was a trip report? |
This link would direct you for the best jeeps you can take.
