Best Island?
 

Hello. My girlfriends and I, all in our mid-20s, are planning a vacation, 3-4 days, for next July/August. Hawaii is one of our choices but we aren't sure which island is most appropriate for us and need some feedback to help us make our decision. Some criteria are:<BR><BR>1. We must stay at a Mariott (one of us works there and can get good deals)<BR>2. cheaper is better<BR>3. exciting nightlife<BR><BR>Thank you! Please let me know if I can be more specific.

Do you have to go to Hawaii? I think a bunch of 20 somethings would have much more fun in Cancun.

Waikiki (island of Oahu) has a Marriott. Waikiki is usually the cheapest major location in Hawaii. Waikiki is THE MAJOR party a and nightlife destination in Hawaii.<BR><BR>Maui has a Marriott at Kaanapali Beach. Some not too bad night life. More expensive than Waikik. Maui is a more interesting and exciting island than Oahu in every way other than nightlife. <BR><BR>Kauai and Big Island are both very quiet (no nightlife at all) and no place for 20 somethings !!<BR>

I love Hawaii and Maui or Oahu would have the most nightlife but it really depends on what kind of nightlife you want- casinos, dancing..That should help narrow it down.

There are no casinos in Hawaii - thank God !!

I'm not sure where you're flying from but 3-4 day (2-3 nights) is not near enough time to bother with going all the way to Hawaii. Have you thought about LA or Vegas?

I agree. That's really too short a time for a trip to Hawaii...how about Key West?<BR><BR>Gorgeous location and definitely a good time will be had by all...
