Best ice cream in Boston?

I lived in Boston for several years in my youth. The ice cream go tos were Bailey’s, Brigham’s and Steve’s. What’s the best spot these days?

Is JP Licks still going strong?

It has been years since I have had ice cream in Boston, but then it was Brigham’s for us. I hope they are still around and not outsourcing it.

The last Brigham's I knew of, on High Street in Boston, is long gone now. You can still buy it in supermarkets.

I think the best ice cream is at local mom and pop stands that have been around forever, for good reason. Here on the North Shore we have several go-tos: Richardson's, Cherry Farm Creamery, Captain Dusty's, Hodgie's.

Since I never got any recos for ice cream in Boston, I did a personal survey. JP Licks was not a favorite.
