Best hotel in downtown Seattle
 

Before I can move into my winter sublet, I can choose any hotel in Seattle for my first ten days there. Any suggestions? I've heard the Ace Hotel is nice, but also the Olympic? And something called the Arctic? These ideas are from my friends who live in Bellevue. I'd like to be centrally located, and since it's being expensed (ahem), the sky's the limit. Really looking for something special. Please advise. Many thanks.

Is Inn at the Market still there? We have a lovely stay there sometime ago.

Inn at the Market is still there. I would second this one in a heartbeat. Get a room with a water view.

There are several options. What do you want in a hotel?

The best hotel if money is no object is the new Four Seasons, hands down IMO--get a bay view room. The Inn at the Market is also quite nice if you prefer a smaller boutique hotel; go for at least a partial water view room as the city view rooms facing 1st Ave can be a bit noisy. I wouldn't put the Ace in the "nice" category, it's more of a glorified hostel IMO. The Fairmont Olympic is nice, more of a big traditional hotel.

The Arctic Club is a Doubletree (Hilton) located in the office core, around 6 blocks from the Pike Market. Also a nice property, but not in the same league as the Four Seasons.

Four Seasons is the "nicest hotel in Seattle" if that's the question. Ace is funky and fun, but nothing like that same category. A waterview room at Inn at the Market is another good suggestion. Maybe a suite at Hotel Andra?

Not centrally located but the apartment at Sorrento Hotel is to die for.

Great ideas here ... thank you all very much. I suppose that would have been helpful to say what I'm looking for: Central would be nice, but even more important would be nice views and a great room — I feel like so many hotels I go to are supposed to be super nice, but the room always ends up feeling tired and in need of some renovations. I do like hotel bars and spas, too, but that doesn't require staying at the same property, I suppose. (But if anyone has ideas for those, fill me in!) Thanks again!

I would have to go with The Inn at The Market as well. I prefer small botique hotels. And, this one can't be beat - especially with a room with a view of the water. Not sure about spa or workout areas but I love walking into a hotel lobby that does not remind me of a huge train station.

Fun to walk across the street to the market and upstairs (can't remember the name) to a funky little restaurant with great breakfast and killer view. Also, many nice restaurants within walking distance.

The Four Seasons definitely fits what you're looking for, then, in all respects. It's only a year old so the rooms look great.

Also agree that Hotel Andra would be nice. It is connected to my favorite restaurant in Seattle, Lola.
