Best Hostel in SF?
Hello!
Do you have a recommendation for the best hostel centrally located to stay in San Francisco? Will be there for about 4/5 days. No access to car and am a college student.
Thank you

Hi there, I was in SF in Feb (loved it so much). Stayed at the Adelaide Hostel which was excellent. really close walking distance to everything you need (five mins to trams and main BART etc). Really cheap too (about $22 per night from memory) with a decent, free breakfast every morning. Clean and tidy, nice staff etc. We had booked into the Globetrotters Inn and stayed one night but didnt like it at all. Run down and old in comparison. Highly recommend the Adelaide

btaggfan,
we stayed at the 285-bed hostel in the former Hotel Virginia at 312 Mason St., between Geary and O'Farrell. (now around $22) it is a great location.
now we stay at the Ritz Carlton (best HOTEL in SF) what a difference 40 years makes.
enjoy SF and be sure to do good in college!

Thank you so much for all your advice
Will be confirming my hostel booking and can't wait to explore SF and Cali: first time on the West Coast (besides Seattle) since I go to college on the East Coast.
