Best Hikes in Northern Virginia

I am looking for suggestions on the best hikes to do in Northern Virginia. A friend recently had me do the Old Rag hike, and it was incredible! I'm curious if there any other great hikes in Northern Virginia that I can't miss.

They would preferably be 2 hours or less from the DC beltway, and I like something a little challenging.

Thoughts from the locals please - thanks!

Lots of great hikes in Shenandoah. Highly recommend the White Oak Canyon Hike.

For a quick one without much of a drive, go to Great Falls.

Maryland Heights at Harper's Ferry is one of our favorites.

Bert and Jane Gildart's _Hiking Shenandoah National Park_ is just about the best guide book I could want of that park. It was a bargain at twice the price. If the other Falcon Guides are as good, I recommend them highly for choosing hikes. Check out
