Best Golf Resort in California?
I am planning a golf trip to California and would appreciate thoughts on La Costa Resort and Spa and La Quinta Resort & Club.
Any keen golfers out here?:-? |
Since I can't afford to golf in places like La Costa and La Quinta or Pebble Beach and Indian Wells, I prefer to go to places that don't charge you an arm and a leg every time you turn around.
My suggestion is Graeeagle. http://www.graeagle.com/golf/index.htm This is the gem of the Sierra for golf. If you go in September, the kids are gone and the weather is perfect and the green fees go down. |

Okay, only because I feel bad for you, begging for responses like that ;)
Not a golfer myself, but DH likes Westin Mission Hills Resort. 2 courses - one a Pete Dye and one a Gary Player design. Just wanted to add my 2 cents about La Costa because we had a disappointing stay there this winter. If you choose to stay there, determine how far along they are in their construction. It was rather disruptive and incovenient for us. |
I went to Bandon Dunes last year--has a reduced twilight rate--it was beautiful and windier than any place I've ever been
