Best Food In Albuquerque?
 

Does anyone have suggestions on the best places to eat in Albuquerque? preferably for New Mexican but would love to hear any ideas.<BR><BR>Thank you.

I am so glad you asked. I will be home in three weeks and can't wait to eat!!!<BR><BR>New Mexican:<BR>Los Cuates - this is not a fancy restaurant so if you are into that you will be disappointed, but this has the best food. Located on Central, there are two restaurants accross from each other. Eat at the one on the north side of Central.<BR>Sadies - very good food. Look out for the margaritas!!<BR>Gardunios - a chain restaurant, great margaritas and good food.<BR>El Pinto - if you are going when it is warm, they have a beautiful patio.<BR><BR>Great American Steak House - located on Tramway and has good food and a wonderful view.<BR><BR>Prairie Starr - nice restaurant<BR><BR>Breakfast - The Frontier. Again, not a fancy place, but hands down the best breakfast in Abq. Make sure you try the fresh squeezed orange juice, breakfast burritos, western style hash browns, cinnamon rolls, and fresh tortillas. You won't regret it.<BR><BR>Wicks - good breakfast.<BR><BR>Dion's - for quick pizza.<BR>Il Vicino - again, pizza.<BR><BR>Tomato Cafe - all you can eat pasta.

Sounds good! You mentioned the location of Los Cuates. Are the other New Mexican restaurants you talked about in the Old Town/downtown area? I am getting hungry just reading this. We arrive this coming Saturday. I have hopes for the outside patio - but that may be a bit optimistic. Thanks for the help.

"La Hacienda" in Old Town has been good the times I've eaten there.<BR>

Sorry, none of the restaurants are in the immediate downtown area. But there may be a Gardunios nearby since its a chain.<BR>Locations:<BR>Near the University:<BR>Il Vicino<BR>Dions <BR>Frontier<BR><BR>Westside: ( I dont think this is too far)<BR>Sadies<BR>El Pinto<BR><BR>Los Cuates - located near San Mateo and Lomas<BR><BR>Wicks, Prarie Star, Great American and Tomato Cafe, ...probably to far for you.<BR><BR>The Artichoke Cafe is a nice place to eat, not a whole lot of new mexican food, but near downtown. I hear downtown is growing so there may be more restaurants that I am not aware of...I haven't been downtown in several years.<BR>If I had to narrow it down and take a taxi, I'd choose Sadies and the Frontier. I hope you find something GOOD!
