Best Fishing Charter in Seward Alaska?

We are going to be in Seward in about a week and were wondering if anyone has any opinions on the many charter boats in Seward (good or bad). It's hard to tell from their literature which ones are winners.

Thanks!

From a previous post of mine:

"I have a strong opinion about Miller's Landing and it is No, No and No!

We had numerous problems with them last year and, despite written complaints to them, all we received were excuses and no attempt to make a bad experience right (or at least better)."

1. One of the deckhands was fishing (for himself) instead of helping paying customers.

2. The captain was exhausted from working two days straight at 2 trips/day.

3. Although the boat left on time, they returned to shore to pick up late comers, thus shortening the available fishing time for those of us who were on time.

4. We paid for a salmon charter and then they changed it to rockfish and salmon at the last minute.

5. Did not change baits as often as needed.

For customer service, I would rate them a poor.

I think that if you went through the Seward Fish House (907-224-3674) at the small boat harbor, they could find you a more enthusiastic and helpful charter boat operation.

I will try to give you an unbiased opinion of charter operators since I used to charter out of Seward. There are no bad charter operators operating out of Seward. All of them have two goals in common: 1) Safety & 2) Customer service. They don't promise fish or the largest fish to be caught, but they do their jobs very well. I sure hope that was isolated incident that Orlanda mentioned.
