BEST EAST COAST BEACH LATE MAY
 

4 sisters in their 50's want a late May vacation on the beach where it will be warm in late May. We like to walk on the beach, art and antique shop, and eat seafood. We did Charleston last year. Where else would you suggest that we could find beachfront reasonably priced.

Try the Pontre Vedra Resort outside Jacksonville Florida. I love that area.

St. Augustine, of course. You would need to book a place to stay on St. Augustine Beach and go into the city for shopping (the city is on the mainland). There aren't a lot of antique stores that I know of -- but the city is older than most in the US and is a fascinating place. You'd love it. Lots to do, lots of history, gorgeous.

Look at Hilton Head (but you may find it too much like Charleston) or Amelia Island.

Cape Cod! Beautiful in late May if you can stay away from Memorial weekend.
