Where is the best dog/pet store in the Chicago metro please? Will be there in May, would like to visit. Thanks.

What are you specifically looking for?

I tried finding unique Chicago pet stores online but was unable. I was hoping that with the world class shopping Chicago offers (i.e. Magnificent Mile), there might be some unique pet shops (maybe with a lot of unique breeds of dogs) that would be fun to visit while out exploring the city. We are dog lovers. Thanks.

Did you know that puppies in pet stores come from puppy mills? Don't buy any. I know someone who bought a dog from a pet store in Mag Mile area. If I see him, I'll ask where it was.

Barker and Meowsky is a very cool pet shop in Lincoln Park. (not on the Mag Mile) They don't sell pets, just supplies and fun treats. :)
