Best Disney World Playground?
 

We're arriving late in the afternoon on Saturday, 2/25, so we don't want to purchase park tickets for that day. We're staying at a WDW resort. Can anyone recommend the best playground for preschoolers? Thanks!

At what resort are you staying? Most of the WDW resort hotels have their own playgrounds.

I suggest that you spend your first evening at Downtown Disney. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, and preschoolers will love the Lego store and the toy store.

What is your budget?

If you are in the boardwalk area (staying at the Boardwalk Inn, Swan, Dolphin, Beach Club or Yacht Club), you can rent surreys to ride around on. Preschooler would like riding on one of those. From the same area, you can also ride the boats around to the various resorts - or just across the lake - for free. If you are staying at a monorail resort, you can ride the monorail around for free. I believe that Ft. Wilderness has a free petting zoo. It's also fun to do a character dinner the first night...they have several of those at the various resorts, but you'll need to reserve soon.

i would second the suggestion to go to downtown disney. they have a great restaurant selection (wofgang pucks is great, kids would like the rainforest cafe) and fun very disney-themed stores which will be exciting for the first day. a great choice for half a day, especially the dinner part :)
