Best Dining Bets in Bangor

Hi there!

I work for an airline, and we are working a college football charter this weekend to Bangor. This isn't a city we normally fly to, so looking for any best dining bets for our 25-hour layover.

Seafood (lobster specifically) is great, or really anywhere that shouldn't be missed! Let me know if you have any recs.

Thx!

Your best bet is to do a search on Chowhound's Northern New England section. We have spent little time in Bangor and it was several years ago. We ate at Dysart's truck stop. Well, it was handy and pretty good. Pretty good recent reviews on Yelp. (see fried clams and lobster roll) If a place gets raves for pie, that's a good sign but surprised to read pot roast was dry.

Thanks! I didn't see your reply until just now, and I've come and gone from Bangor. But I actually ended up at Dysart's on Saturday because our hotel didn't serve lunch. It was pretty good and packed with people!

For dinner, we went to Sea Dog Brewery, which was also really busy. Great lobster bisque!
