Best day for Cedar Point?

Is Wednesday still the best time for Cedar Point? What is the waiting time now for coasters? Any tips?

Hi cd! When I worked there during college, (20 years ago) Friday was the slowest day. The bonus weekends in September and the week before Labor Day are usually slow also?

PS-How are you faring boatless this summer? We finally have some great boating weather. May and June were just awful. :-)

Hi Buckeyemom!
Friday? Interesting, I would not of thought it. Yep, missing the boat!

Buckeyemom,Not meaning to be dense but which dates in September are 'bonus weekends'??
We went the last week of May this year and it wasn't too bad.We would like to go back in September but we thought Friday,Saturday, and Sunday would be jammed packed??

Debbie-All weekends in September through Halloween are bonus weekends. Setp. 11 and 18th, the hours are 10-8pm. All other weekends noon-midnight. I think the weekend after Labor Day won't be bad.

cd-IMO, the best time to go would be the week before Labor Day. School starts in Columbus Aug. 24, 25. So, after that through Labor Day should be really slow. We usually go to the Island that week for a full week and it's dead.

They also have a fast pass system called freeway. Here is the url for it:
http://cedarpoint.com/public/inside_...s_faq/faqs.cfm. You can buy discount tickets at Meijer.

Hope this helps.

Buckeyemom,Wow,Thanks.That sounds great.
We are now considering going for a few days the week before labor day. We had so much fun in May we just wanted to get in another quick trip before school starts. (It doesn't start till Sept.8th here)...
Thanks again,Debbie

Thanks Bucheyemom. Staying in Cuyahoga Falls with our daughter and they do not have a Meijer. I will check with Giant Eagle and AAA to see if they offer discounts.

Just a postscript. We went to CP last Wednesday and waited very little for most rides, some we just walked on. The longest was an hour for Dragster and an hour for Millineum. We purchased tickets thru AAA for $33.00 each.
