Best Columbia, MO Hotels.......

I'm interested in visiting Columbia for a FB game this fall and need to find a very nice upscale hotel with fine dining and a spa maybe. Thanks..........

I don't think your going to find a really upscale place there. The closest to it would be the Ramada Inn . Although it is a ways from the stadium. I would stay downtown so you could enjoy all the pregame and post game events. It is such a fun walkable town. Have a great time.

I think that would be in Kansas City or St. Louis! We've always found the most decent ones by the mall, near the highway. Relatively clean...that's about as good as it gets.

It has been a bit over a year since I was last there, but the Ramada wasn't very nice.

The nicest place I have stayed in Columbia was Stoney Creek Inn.

Your right it isn't that nice. Stoney Creek Inn looks really nice I see it arrived in 2003.I left there 2001. It is about 3/4 mile from the stadium so great location. You could always cab back from downtown (if you chose to post party) if you didn't want to walk back. I too hope to go back for a visit this fall. I just love Columbia. I don't know where you are coming from but a side trip to Hermann MO. is well worth it. Tour the wonderful old wineries and eat at the Vintage at the Stone Hill winery. I am getting off track. The web site for the stoney creek inn www.stoneycreekinn.com

Go Tigers! Please post a trip report when you're back. I think about doing this at some point in the future, and I'd love to hear more.

Two choices. For being closest to campus and the stadium definitely Stoney Creek Inn. Some fans end up parking near there and walking though it is a good hike. The hotel might have transportation. The other nice hotel in Columbia is the Holiday Inn Select (Executive Center) at I-70 and Stadium Blvd. Definitely NOT the Ramada Inn. I just moved from Columbia after over 30 years. However, I'll be back for all the games as always. Fortunately we stay with friends so don't need the hotel. Enjoy, Columbia is a great place.

You are so right. My husband reminded me I was thinking of the Holiday Inn not Ramada.
RogerDD- where did you live in Columbia? I lived downtown near Stephens College? I miss it a lot. I am in Seattle now.
