Best breakfast in Half Moon Bay?

Hello,

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good breakfast or lunch place in Half Moon Bay?

Thank you!

Casual - My favorite is Ketch Joann'a in the harbor.
Elegant - Ritz Carlton Sunday Brunch

We like the Main Street Cafe for breakfast. It's a little family-run place, very casual, lively atmosphere, good food. There is generally a wait on weekends, so allow extra time.

Hi Bodi! We just had a very elegant and nice lunch at the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco last weekend. We'll have to check out the one in Half Moon Bay when we're in the area again! ***kim*** ((#))

CETRELLA is a nice restaurant for lunch. I also agree with the RITZ.

Don't forget the 3-0 Cafe at the airport. Especially nice place to have breakfast when the Dream Machines show is happening!

Their webpage is here:

We're looking for a nice, casual lunch spot in Half Moon Bay also. We had planned on going to Two Fools, but just learned that they have closed.

Is the Main Street Cafe similar to Two Fools? We are looking for casual, yet nice since we're going horseback riding before lunch. Thanks!

Does anyone know the latest re: Two Fools & whether it might open again?
We loved that place...
and for dinner, too! They had the world's best veggie/nut burger! :-) (and loaf)

And some of their specials were quite tasty, too.

Recently had lunch at the newly opened Red Ginger and it moved to the top of my list!!!!! Beautiful decor and Chef Roy would be impressed with the food and presentation! Perfectly Fabulous!

I wonder if the OP has already visited HMB since posting in early May.

If not, I suggest the Moonside Bakery & Cafe on Main Street. I've always thought their baked goods to be superb and they also serve a good breakfast and lunch. The place is small, a street storefront which opens into a mini-mall/arcade, limited seating in the shop but more in the foyer of the building. The mini-pizzas or soup & sandwich at lunch are really good. They use a small wood-fired beehive oven. If you go for nothing else, just try their "chocolate-chewy" cookies and tell me if they aren't the best you have ever had!

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Has anyone by chance been to Mezza Luna in Princeton by the Sea? If so, how did you like it?

Yes, for dinner, and it is wonderful! HMB Distillery is fun if you'd like to watch big wave surfing and their beer sampler is fun to taste all they make. I have only had one poor meal in all my years in HMB so you can't go wrong. What style food and atmosphere do you love most? Another option Cunha's on Main is fun to pick what you like and then go to the beach. Sushi Main is fun but I can never remember their hours. Caddy next to the Ritz is nice. Too many options!
