I ate at an incredible place in Almedia(sp??) or maybe it's in Oakland either way it's righ off Jack London Square. I believe it is called Everetts, great great great food. It's just off the square on Broadway.

Buckeye Roadhouse(15 shoreline hwy) in Mill Valley. You take the Stinson Beach exit to get there.

After tasting 'real BBQ' in the South (Texas, Memphis, etc.) the Bay area has nothing worthwhile. Good luck!

Depends on the style of barbecue you're used to. I would check out Everett & Jones or Ken Looney's to see if they fit your needs.

In San Francisco, there's Memphis MInnie's, Big Nate's BBQ, and Brother In Law's.

The Bay Area isn't particularly known for its barbecue, but there's some good stuff out there.

Love Big Nate's in SF...they catered a party for us once and it was fantastic.

Everett's is supposed to be good too.

Isn't Buckeye Roadhouse closed?
If you're in the Napa area, try Barber's Q.

I just ate at Memphis Minnie's in San Francisco and enjoyed it tremendously. Their beef brisket is especially good. Plus they serve many different kinds of sake as well as some good local beers (Sierra Nevada, Anchor Steam on tap).
