Best Arizona Marriott or Ren Resort

Ok - This comes more under wishful thinking than actual trip planning at this point BUT ... if we could steal a few days away in early September which of the Marriott properties would be the best? Husband and I would be looking for a relaxing resort with a great pool, a spa, good food on site and at least a couple options nearby, preferably not a lot of kids or at least a good program that keeps the kids busy.
I've read some posts on Arizona resorts but none that compare the Marriott properties. I think the possibilities are:

JW Marriott Desert Ridge
Scottsdale Marriott at McDowell Mountain
Marriott Camelback Inn
Renaissance Scottsdale Resort

I know it will be hot early Sept. but we don't mind the heat as long as the pool is good. Any input on which of these I should be dreaming about? :)

The JW's in general are top notch. As close to 5* as Marriott gets...I have not been to the Desert Ridge Marriott but will be staying at the JW Las Vegas this weekend...JW Orlando is awesome!

I loved the Camelback Inn. The Spa is right behind the larger pool (Jjackrabbit?) but I preferred the rooms around the main building. The food is unbelievably good and the service incredible. Even the standard rooms are lovely - I can't imagine what an upgrade would be like! I don't think you can go wrong.

WE just stayed at the Marriott Desert Ridge in April. Absolutely loved it. One of the most serene, beautiful, tranquil hotels I have ever stayed. Great for families with a lazy river pool, lots of places to grab some shade. Fountains everywhere, New Age music piped through the grounds. Rooms are large and comfy and first class. Large bathrooms with separate toilet, marble tub. Fabulous spa. You can even hang at the very tranquil spa pool if you prefer.

Only complaint, except for Roys, was not impressed with the food. But you are across the Desert Ridge outdoor mall which has like 60 places to eat there and movie theaters.

WE were on an awards trip with my H's company, but I would love to go back sometime soon. It is one of the lovliest hotels and a beautiful area.
