Ok, plans continually changing....If we just did 3 nights in San Diego, 1 day for Seaworld and another just for wandering around, skip Legoland, what area will be best??

Meggsy - What is your budget per night in USD for your hotel in SD? How many beds do you need.

As I said in my earlier post on Aug 24
<<The best places to stay to use public transportation are Little Italy, further downtown near the bay and Old Town.>>

I also gave you some hotel recommendations in those areas.

But what hotel to stay at depends on your budget.

I'd like to try and stay under $200 per night. 2 beds are fine as kids can share. I checked out the Best Western Hacienda Old Town

Just google hotels in Coronado and you can check out what would would best in your price range. Any of the hotels are in good locations as the entire island is very small, safe and walkable. The bus locations are within a block walk from all the hotels.

I'm glad you have dropped LegoLand, it is fun but not a big deal. The Zoo and museums at Balboa Park are much more interesting and the kids will have a better time overall.

Meggsy - you may consider skipping Seaworld all together... (and just an opinion)

- San Diego has SO much more to offer than Orlando. I have been to both (lived in SD for 20 plus yeas) - there is just no comparing the two.
