Best area in New Hampshire
Hi, I will be spending three days in New Hampshire this fall. Would like to know what you think would be the best town to stay in. Since I only have three days I want to make sure I stay where I can see the most in that short period of time. Also any suggestions on B&B's in that area would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Lake Winnepesaukee is the best area to stay in-Meredith or Wolfboro
have the most attractions!

Donna: Definitely the White Mountains. Lots to do and see.

Can you give us a little more info regarding budget, interests, dates of your visit, are you with children or not? You also, I believe, posted a same question re Maine? Are you coming to see the foliage?

I really like Hanover, NH. But it all depends on what you're looking for. More details would be good.
Donna, the White Mountains is great. There are some great b&b's in the area. North Conway, more congested area, Jackson, nice little town outside of North Conway, on the other side of the Kangamangus is Woodstock, Franconia, and Sugar Hill, very nice as well. Let me know are you travelling with children, what type of activity you are looking for, dining, etc. We travel here for 2 1/2 weeks every summer with our 2 children, ages 7 and 13, and it is wonderful. Use to be Cape Cod people, but far more relaxing in New Hampshire.

Thanks for your suggestions, I found a really nice B&B called the Glynn House. Has anybody ever heard of it? Good and bad comments are appreciated. It is in the town of Ashland. Again need some input on this area as I am clueless about NH. Their website makes it sound like it's in the middle of everything. It is located in the lakes region, and doesn't seem so far from the White mountains, but then again everything looks close when you look on a map! I'm mostly interested in just relaxing for a few days. Maybe some light hiking, bike riding and enjoying the beautiful fall foliage. Do you think this is a good area for that type of vacation? Thanks, Donna
